Story Behind Dalit Film Circle
Dalit Film Circle emerged from a gap in the film industry the absence of a dedicated space where Dalit writers, directors, actors, editors, and technicians could be discovered and celebrated.
While talent has always existed across the country, visibility and access often haven’t. This platform was created to change that: to ensure our work is seen, our names are known, and our presence in cinema is undeniable. More than a directory, it is a step toward reshaping who gets to tell stories and how those stories are told.
